NicheSeer provides a synthetic demo and a conditional, read-only own-shop connection. Etsy-derived processing remains unavailable unless the required provider configuration and Etsy's exact written analytics authorization are present.

What a connection processes

If you choose Connect Etsy, NicheSeer requests only listings_r and transactions_r. The OAuth callback holds the returned access and refresh tokens only in invocation memory while it performs one fixed own-shop fetch, then discards them. Tokens are not placed in the proof cookie or a server-side database. NicheSeer does not request Etsy write, email, profile, address or separate buyer-email access.

Own-shop summaries

Completing the seller-initiated Connect Etsy flow performs one current own-shop fetch. NicheSeer reduces the provider response to shop identity, active-listing metadata checks, sample listing titles and aggregate receipt counts for two 30-day windows. Receipt responses may contain buyer or order fields; NicheSeer does not use, return or retain those fields and discards the raw responses after reduction. Later summary views read the saved safe proof and make no Etsy request. Reconnecting is required to fetch a fresh proof. NicheSeer does not run background polling or scrape Etsy.

Storage and retention

The authenticated-encrypted connection cookie is Secure, HttpOnly and unavailable to browser JavaScript. It contains only granted scopes, a CSRF value and the reduced own-shop proof, and expires after an absolute maximum of five hours and forty-five minutes. NicheSeer keeps no server-side connected-shop database, durable OAuth-token record or durable own-shop summary. Synthetic watch, compare and experiment-preview choices remain limited to the browser session.

Hosting records

The hosting provider may process ordinary delivery and security metadata such as IP address, user agent, route and request time under its own terms. NicheSeer does not intentionally place OAuth credentials or raw Etsy responses in application logs.

Disconnect and delete

Disconnect Etsy and Delete my data both clear NicheSeer's local OAuth and session cookies immediately; there is no server-side connected-shop record to delete. Clearing NicheSeer data does not revoke the Etsy-side grant. To revoke that grant, use Etsy Shop Manager > Apps > Connected apps > Disconnect.

Your choices

You may decline to connect, let the proof session expire, disconnect, or delete the local connection data. NicheSeer performs no Etsy write and does not sell connected-shop data.
